La colombe de la paix - the dove of peace is not only a world-famous work of art by pablo picasso, but also a symbol with deep meaning. In the biblical story, it represents the holy spirit: when the waters of the flood sank, noah let a dove fly. It returned with a green olive branch in its beak. It symbolises divine reconciliation with man after the flood and has thus established itself as a sign of peace. Picasso created this work in 1949 especially for the world peace congress.
